Factors Associated with Reading Performance in English

Aims: Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic are three essential skills a pupil should learn acquire. The purpose of this study was to identify factors associated with pupils’ reading; the level reading performance significant relationship between performance.
 Study Design: employed Content Analysis Descriptive Correlation.
 Place Duration Study: conducted in selected schools division El Salvador City during school year: 2022.
 Methodology: respondents were all One hundred-twenty (120) Grade 3 pupils at City. This used researcher-modified survey questionnaire that underwent validity reliability testing.
 Results: results showed Frustration level, while rated as Unlikely. It concluded pupils' significantly correlated performance. Thus, it must be given consideration attention. researcher recommends parents, teachers, stakeholders unite providing supporting reading-related activities interventions for better outcomes.
 Conclusions: As clearly illustrated data analysis results, conclusion: According student's performance, majority students still experiencing frustration. is regarded being quite poor. While materials accessible home, parents have less time monitor support their children. result alone or receiving attention from family members may develop negative attitudes toward poor habits. There strong correlation ability elements affect ability. result, related important how well they read English. Based on findings conclusion study, recommended that: Due students' alarming collaborate establish programs students. best solution whatever problem collaboration teachers parents. Teachers might think about stressing other help, mentor, give kids so feel supported academics problems. will get inspiration self-assurance way understand families behind them. To help instructors deliver services motivate engage creating teaching learning environment, administrators consider workshops training sessions, particularly various methods interventions.
